The Jump Day was GREAT!!!

The Jump for the Cure did not go exactly as planned as the weather did not allow for the fundraisers to do their jumps that day. There were two loads of experienced skydivers that managed to show the crowd of over 60 people what skydiving or shall we say landing a parachute is all about. The bbq started at 2pm and went all the way until 8pm. The awards were given out at 6pm and congratulations to those who won!!! (names will be updated later) The band Uno Mas was fantastic ending the evening with an upbeat performance including some dancing.

Thank you to all that helped out not only on te day of the event but also through out the prepping of the day.

The show must go on!! Shine or not so shiny…

Well, the big day is here!! Everyone is ready to do their skydives, pledges are collected, the barbecue is primed and the sun seems to be sleeping in!! Us organizers and everyone involved are surely going to make it break through these clouds by sheer force of will!

The weather network on TV is saying think happy thoughts, it is supposed to clear. IF the sun refuses to come out however, the show will still go on! We ask everyone to come out for the barbecue and band, and of course to help us drink the 2 kegs of Sleemans!  Participants will then rebook their own rain date!

Party starts at 5pm. We will tally all the jumpers donations so we can award the prizes before Una Mas starts up! Competition was fierce, we are excited to hear about everyone’s fund raising adventures and to find out who will be the winner of the cruise and the free skydive!! Lets all finish off strong with our support of the Michael Cuccione Foundation, we’ll meet, we’ll eat, we’ll have a blast! See you all in a few hours!!

We are getting really excited with Sunday coming up on us very fast. Come on out around 4 or 5pm BBQ $10 Beer (when skydiving is done) $3 [These funds are going straight to the Michael Cuccione Foundation] & Live Music from Uno Mas and awesome funky modern soul jazz band that will be closing the night down for FREE and you wont want to miss the reward ceremony where the top Skydiving Fundraiser will be getting their 5 day Cruise for 2 people.
So mark that calendar come on out to the Pitt Meadows Airport

The 1st Annual Jump for the Cure is starting off with GREAT success. Jump for the Cure is moving along!

Some much needed information has been added to the “About Event” page. Now that you’ve found us please take a moment to learn more about the event also the Michael Cuccione Foundation and why they are such a great foundation to be fundraising for.

Please remember that if your not interested in signing up for the skydive, come out for the ground activities and food which all funds received will also be going towards the foundation.

Skydiving Fundraiser

Welcome to the 1st Annual Jump for the Cure website. Our website is currently under construction and will be updated soon!

The event will have 50 people sign up to do a skydive at their cost and will have until the event date to fundraise.  The day of the event is August 22nd, 2010 where all 50 people will then perform their skydive as well as having many ground events and food for everyone to participate in.  The funds raised from these activities will also be going towards the Michael Cuccione Foundation.
